Motivation: Witnessing individuals struggling to disconnect from social media

During my time as an Acupuncturist, I witnessed individuals struggling to disconnect from their phones even during moments of relaxation. As relaxation takes a very important role in holistic care, such as acupuncture, their ability to unwind saddened me and stayed deep in my heart.

On a personal note, I, too, have encountered the all-too-familiar urge to endlessly scroll through social media, an experience that drove home the significance of this challenge.

Given these experiences, my aspiration as a designer took shape: to create a solution that aids individuals in breaking free from behaviors they wish to overcome, particularly the grip of social media. This is my way of contributing to enhancing well-being and promoting mindful engagement in today's digital age.

Problem: An unhealthy balance with social media can cause problems

<aside> 💡 A 2020 survey revealed that Americans spend around 17 hours daily on screens, with a considerable portion of this time devoted to social media. Numerous studies suggest that social media engagement triggers brain chemistry like other behavioral addictions.

Dopamine Addiction caused by Social media can negatively impact people, and this include:
